Is it fair to say a diagnosis like this changes everything, even when the person is doing well? A top Vatican official says Pope Leo XIV is recovering from lung cancer surgery and still going ahead with his big trip to Latin America next week, but that it's "a bit of a game-changer" for the papacy. I can't quite tell what that means yet. Only that the Church is clearly thinking hard about what comes next 🙏
